Yesterday, Kelly announced the theme of our September Gallery Ghallenge: Clean & Graphic. If you may recall, you have until Monday, September 28 to give it a try.

We did a whole big feature on the clean & graphic style in our September/October 2009 issue, and maybe you’ve had a chance to give it a look-see. Here are some great examples from the Graphically Speaking feature:

Circle Graphic Thanks Card by Kimberly Crawford

Thank You Dots Card by Angie Hagist, p. 56

These three cards are perfect examples of the clean & graphic style. Why? Because they have all incorporated white space, clean lines and simple treatment of text.

The best part? Clean & graphic cards tend to be the least time-consuming to make because they are, in essence, simple. In fact, every single card in our Graphically Speaking feature can be made in 5 steps or less…many in just three!

Here are some more clean & graphic cards that I found in the blogosphere to get your creative juices flowing:

Note how simple Kalyn Kepner has treated the elements on this card. Simple color scheme, simple design, simple treatment of text.

Graphic Halloween set by Teri Anderson

Boo Treat Bag and Tag by Teri Anderson

I love this Halloween gift set by Teri Anderson. Again, it meets our three basic requirements: white space, clean lines and simple treatment of text.

Gift Bag by Kim Hughes

School Days Bag by Kim Hughes

This gift bag by Kim Hughes is super clean & graphic because it plays on the simplest of shapes: the circle. It’s graphic because she’s repeated the circle in interesting patterns while varying the colors, and it’s clean because she’s used a lot of white space.

Are you ready to give it a try? We can’t wait to see what you come up with! Click HERE for more examples and explanations of the clean & graphic style and HERE for the details of our Clean & Graphic Gallery Challenge!

Enjoying the calm in all that white space,
Cath
