Spring has sprung here in the Paper Crafts editorial offices, and not a moment too soon since Easter is this weekend. Thanks to the inspiration I got from Cath’s Moxie Fab World Five for Friday last week (lovely spring dresses…did you see it?), I figured out that my daughter’s an Old Navy kinda girl. I’ll be hoofing it over there later today to grab a not-so-frilly frock for my little tomboy.

When I need ideas, I go web-hopping. And we know from our reader surveys that you do, too. Connecting with you when you visit our blog is one of the big reasons we come in every day with a spring in our step and a smile on our faces.

And we are positively giddy when we hear about the ways you’ve been inspired to create something after reading our magazine or visiting our blog. Shelah Harris made our day with this letter:

Dear Editor,

Paper Crafts is my favorite magazine for creative ideas and cards. I have used many of your ideas to teach paper crafting classes at the Simi Valley Senior Center. The “Sugar & Spice Dress” cards in the March/April issue (pp. 64-65) were just the cutest. So I just had a mini class at the Scrapbook Club that meets at the center and had to send you the photo of some of the gals with their dresses. They absolutely loved making them and became quite creative. It was fun to see the results.

The group is facilitated by Karen Kalsman of Simi Valley Department of Parks & Recreation.

Sincerely,
Shelah Harris

Thanks for taking the time to share that with us, Shelah! And we’re so lucky to have inspiring designers like Debbie Olson contributing to our magazine. If you want to try your hand at some sweet spring dresses with Debbie’s lovely card design, you can download the pattern here.

Hopping down the bunny trail,
Jennifer
