I turned 30 last week, and I got a bottle of bubbles off my mum. They were brilliant, they really made me, and everyone else smile, there were competitions to see who could blow the biggest bubble and merriment all around over such a simple gift.

The best gift I ever received was a wedding gift from my parents…a rocking chair for my new home. It’s something I can keep for always, and remember they picked it out just for me 🙂
Thank you for a chance to win K&CO…I just love their products!

The best gift I got was a new sewing machine. My old one was a real pain because I could not sew on without it making this loud noise and it always got jammed.

Wow this is a crafters dream come true if this showed up in their mailbox. Wow I would be like a little kid.
I would say my favorite gift would be when my daughter planned a trip for the both of us to see my sister in UTAH. For Mother’s Day that year she took some of the pictures she took of us and framed some. She is so thoughtful and very creative. Thanks for a chance.

the best gift I ever recieved was probably my easel and professional paint set when I was about 9. It really helped me get into painting and let me exress my creativity. I displayed my work on my easel in my room and felt inspired even as a child. :]

One year for Mothers Day my dh and kids gave me the gift of travel. It was to spend a shopping weekend in Seattle with my best 5 girlfriends…it was such great bonding time with lots of laughs (& lots of shopping too!)

Wow! These six K & Co prizes are a crafter’s dream come true. When you get to be as old as I am, you end up receiving a lot of gifts over your lifetime. Your question certainly gave me pause and after reflecting on it I think the best gift I ever received was from my late husband during our first year married – it was a Kenmore sewing machine. I still use it 32 years later.

The best gift I ever recieved was a surprise birthday party my husband organized. We were living far away from home and I was very home sick. He secretly planned for my parents to be at the party and spend a couple of days with us. He’s such a sweet guy!!

The best gift I ever recieved was my first valentines day married to my husband. He went to the jewlery store we bought my wedding ring from and talked to the girl there. She showed him some things I had looked at while waiting for my rings to be soldered one day. He picked out the most beautiful pearl solitaire that I LOVED so much but decided we couldn’t afford at the time. He bought a matching pendant too! And in the morning, he left for work like normal. I got up 2 hours later (he worked very early mornings in the Navy) and found my ring and necklace in a gift bag in front of the front door. he wanted to make sure I saw it and got to wear it all day! I am wearing that ring today, 9 years later. It always reminds me of him and how thoughtful he can be when he wants to!

Holy moly!! I love these exciting weeks! PC rocks with the FUN!
I am such a lucky lady, and I have received so many wonderful gifts in my lifetime! I would have to say many come to mind, but I will tell you about what my husband did for our anniversary a couple of years ago! He planned a getaway for us in downtown Chicago. We’re in IL, so it’s local for us, and I felt so comfortable with the fact that we weren’t far from home or our girls! He arranged for my father-in-law to stay at the house with our girls and our dog! We stayed in a wonderful landmark hotel, and then the big surprise? We went to see Wicked! I love the Wizard of Oz! The Wicked Witch of the West is one of my favorite characters EVER, so I was just thrilled that my husband planned all of this for us! It was a wonderful couple of days, and I just won’t ever forget this very special anniversary! My husband? He’s the best!!
Thanks for letting me share my special gift story!! Can’t wait for next week! Have a great weekend Kelly!!

I would say the best gift(s) I have received are hand-made cards from my husband and sons. When they make me a card (from supplies in my stamp room), it always shows me how much they care and love and support my hobby!

Wow–next week sounds like tons of fun. The best present I ever received? One christmas my boys both made me a present–they made me handmade cards, using all my tools–without me even knowing they did it! Imagine two young boys cleaning everything up, so there wasn’t any clue as to what they did when I was out! Amazing!

ooh – the best gift? i’ve had many, so it’s hard to choose. i’ve received truly wonderful gifts from my daughter i could easily choose one of those, but one really memorable gift was the one my husband gave me for my 41st birthday. i’d been wanting to do “something” for quite some time… it was totally expensive, unnecessary, and even a little crazy. my husband and i don’t typically exchange birthday GIFTS but that year he surprised me with a trip to a nearby airport where i made my first tandem skydive jump! WOW – even better than i dreamed. and he’d gone to so much trouble and preplanning to get me there without knowing. a gift to treasure.

The best gifts I ever received were my three daughters. They were all born within a couple of weeks of my birthday (one of them even shares mine). So, now all 4 girls in our family celebrate together in October.

The best gift I got was when my mom made me a scrapbook of my first year of life and gave it to me for my birthday! I am always making scrapbooks for gifts but this is the first time someone made one for me, and it was so great! Very meaningful!

I have been blessed with some pretty amazing gifts in my life. I think the best one, though, was an old scrapbook with photos of my when I was little made by my great grandmother and added to by my grandmother. Nana gave it to me for Christmas one year and I just cried I was so thrilled! It is a treasure to me!

I think one of the best gifts I ever received is a cement fountain my mom bought me several years ago. When we had our house built we had it hard-wired onto our deck wall. It is so soothing:)

I would say my favorite gift so far is a rocking chair my parents gave me years ago. It was crafted by the Amish, some friends of my dad and I just love it.

My favorite gift was the wooden spoons my husband made for me. Now I know that doesn’t sound terrific, but he made them with his own two hands, put thought into them, and had the foresight to think ahead, and all that is in a spoon and is worth more to me than a spoonful of diamonds any day. Thanks for the great blog and I love all those K&Co. products, total eye candy!

I don’t know if it is the best gift – one of the top ten for sure. My husband put airplane tickets to Hawaii in an empty Hawaiian Potato Chip bag and sealed it back up. I thought a bag of potato chips – as much as I loved them – was a pretty cheap Valentine’s Day gift – boy was I wrong!!

That is a difficult question to answer. There are things that were totally perfect at the time they were given, although they might have been simple, and not so important in the whole scheme of life! I love my kitchen aid mixer, that work friends gave me many years ago when I was leaving for another job… and a nikon camera with two lenses that my husband gave me for my “pre-wedding” present!

I am going to be a total mom and say the best gift ever is my son. Other than the joy he gives me every day, I’d have to say that the last great gift I got were the desk and cubes my mother in law got me one Christmas so I could start my own scrapbook room. Been a scrappin’ fool ever since!

Actually everytime I think about it makes me cry. My best gift yet has been from a fellow friend. NEVER in a million years would I think that she would even do this as our friends has been online we are actually a group of sister stampers and our friendship means the world to me. Well everyone is going to meet up this August and I was not going to be able to go because well as everyone right now our family is feeling the belt tighten and we need to save every penny possible, well My wonderful friend is paying for me to get there and paying FOR EVERYTHING so I can be with everyone. I am still in shock and in awe.. She even ordered me my suitcase! I told her when I see her in person I will be crying for the 5 days I will be there. Our friendship means more then I could ever express.. Stampin Addict Sistahs ROCK 🙂

My best gift was many rolled into one a few Mothers Day’s ago. My Mom took me to my first ever all day crop. My Dad took my two little girls for the day, and spent all day with them helping them each make a gift for me. It was very touching!

My best gift ever was from my parents for my 40th birthday last spring. My mom took me, my 38-week pregnant sister, & two friends to get fabulous pedicures at a spa! After a great lunch I had to return to the real world, but couldn’t resist teaching a night of piano lessons in bare feet!

The best gift I ever received was from my youngest son. He had just moved away in January and I was really sad to see him go. I had been diagnosed with breast cancer, so I was already depressed. But on Mother’s Day, he sent flowers with a homemade card (like his mama makes) telling me how much he loves me. I was so touched–this was coming from someone who makes himself tough–he left home to take a position as a police officer in one of the most dangerous places in the country. Made my day BIG TIME!
Thanks for a great web site!

I have always been an avid reader; books were my constant companions from the time I was four years old, when I taught myself to read. Reading was a passion; I read everything I could get my hands on.
About 16 years ago, though, I developed repetitive strain syndrome. Over the following few years I had five surgeries on my hands. It became increasingly difficult for me to hold things, and became nearly impossible for me to hold a book open. I tried book holders but found them too awkward; changing pages was tedious and difficult.
Last May, my husband saw a friend’s Kindle. My husband immediately saw how the Kindle could help me to be able to read again, and within a few hours of seeing the friend’s e-book, Bob had made sure a Kindle was on its way to me.
Since he gave me the Kindle, I have read over a hundred and fifty books. I have rediscovered favorite classics, read best sellers, found obscure out-of-print books by favored authors. Bob not only gave me an e-book reader, he gave me back a treasured part of my life.

The best gift I ever received was an opal ring from my husband many years ago. We certainly didn’t have the money for it, but the opal I wore of my mother’s (who died when I was 20) had cracked down the middle and could not be repaired. I was so sad, but on Christmas morning that year, I received a beautiful opal ring. I am ever so careful with it, having learned that an opal is a very soft stone, because it is the best gift I ever received.

Christmas 2006 – my son, who was almost 13 months, decided to walk on Christmas day, in the afternoon. It was such a wonderful, unexpected present. And, it was later in the day when we thought we were done getting gifts. Thank you Andrew!!

As another poster said, deciding which was the perfect gift ever received is a tough one! It depends on the event, the reason for the gift, the state of mind of the giver and recipient. For me, the greatest gift is the one that is completely unexpected and from the heart. I received that gift yesterday. It was a beautiful card creation given to me and made by the mother of my future daughter-in-law. It showcased our first family event; the Easter celebration that we shared this past Sunday. The artful creation had the perfect, heartfelt, photos and embellishments that expressed the true spirit of the event…the most important being a picture of the three children of my future daughter-in-law; the children who are such an important part of my life and who will one day be my grandchildren as well. Truly a gift from the heart

My best gift would’ve been at Christmas my husband (who isn’t crafty) made up a basket for me of all sorts of things from Michaels. It was the sweetest and most thoughtful gift. He got papers, pads, inks, stamps all in matching colors. It was so unexpected and appreciated.

What I love about reading these are the stories behind the gift — they’re all so touching!
The first Christmas I spent with my husband’s family was while we were dating. When we packed for the trip I thought my husband’s bag was ridiculously oversized for the three day trip. In my traditional style I started making fun of him for it non-stop. I called it the “body bag” among other things. Little did I know, that he had “hidden” a vase I’d been lusting for from Crate and Barrel inside. That Christmas I got a fabulous watch, but the story that everyone always hears about is when I opened the vase. I pretty much shrieked with delight and his family was completely confused why I wasn’t that excited about the watch as I was some $40 vase. A funny story about vase shopping….I wanted a new vase and we went to C&B. My honey thought the best way to find a new vase was to “try them out.” He would pick up each one and see how well his voice echoed inside by saying all kinds of silly things. I thought it was pretty great that the vase I wanted was also the same one his voiced echoed in the best. I think opening this vase at Christmas was so delightful because he remembered and made a special point to surprise me.

The best present I ever received was from my husband for our second anniversary. My Dad died on our second anniversary at the exact time we got married. I had left the hospital to go pick up my mom, while my husband stayed at the hospital with my Dad. The best present I could have ever received was knowing that my Dad was not alone that my husband was there with him comforting him at the end.

The best gift I have gotten lately was today. It is our 10th wedding anniversary and my husband sent me roses. He hasn’t done flowers since our 1st (dating) anniversary. I’m still in shock!

I hate to say my best gift is a piece of jewelry but my husband bought me a very tasteful “diamonds by the yard” necklace last year for my birthday and the birth of our son. I love it and think of him as I wear it… and of course, when I don’t too. 😉

My husband is not very much of a romantic, and asking him to go shopping with me is worst than a root canal for him. When his mother visited last fall, he took her out sight seeing while I stayed home with our 3 month old son (now 9 months). I was a little bummed that I was stuck at home with the baby, as going outdoor with the little eating machine was virtually impossible without taking several bags of baby related things with us (we are new parents and now that I think back, we were probably too paranoid and pampering). When he came back with his mom, he had his hands behind his back. I thought it might have been a cup of tea or a scone or something of the likes, but it was a very nice sweater duster from my favorite store!!! I had been frugal since I stopped working as a teacher to stay home with our baby, and would not even go into my favorite store when I happened to be in the area. Having my husband go into a female clothing store, browse around for something that he thought would look nice on me while I shed my baby fat, was the most wonderful gift I have ever gotten. I love him. 🙂

This gift may seem random to some, but it was the perfect Christmas gift. It was a heater that plugs into the lighter in the car.
What’s so special about this gift is that I didn’t ask for it but my husband showed concern for me and came up with a solution all unprompted. You see, when we go skiing we struggle with the temperature in the car. I’m always cold. And my feet are always frozen.
So, it was a warm and pleasant surprise to receive the heater!

God blessed me with two of the greatest gifts…my boys! 🙂 But as far as birthday and Christmas gifts go I think the sweetest gift I received was from my brother this year for my 30th birthday. He went to our LSS and spent an hour picking out a TON of crafting goodies for me!

One of the best gifts I received was a Boyd’s Bear for my birthday from my husband. I collect the plush Boyd’s Bears & while the bear wasn’t all that special, the fact that my DH had picked it out himself & hid it from me was a wonderful surpise. We were heading on a camping trip over my birthday. Normally, I buy my own gifts (crafting supplies of course) & tell DH owe what a wonderful gift, just what I wanted. But, this time, he had packed & hit the bear when I wasn’t looking & surprised me with it on my birthday. It was a great surprise & one of the most memorable gifts.

The best gift I ever received was china and crystal. My husband scrimped and saved every penny he made (he was only 18 years old!) to buy it for me. He had to buy it at a very expensive store, and paid a PREMIUM, because it was the only shop that would extend credit to him. By the time Christmas rolled around, he had paid it off. It’s been 28 years, and I still love the crystal and china, but I love him MORE!!!!!

My best gift? A necklace that DH surprised me with. I loved it when I saw it in the store, but wouldn’t buy it for myself because “I didn’t need it.” He went back to the store that night to purchase it for and surprised me with the the next day.

I’ve just recently received the best gift ever. My husband decided that this would be the year that we would completely update our very much outdated kitchen. He did all the work himself, sacrificing sleep and free time to make it happen. It really meant a lot to me and the kitchen looks amazing!

I have been blessed with many gifts that have touched my heart in a profound way such as love, friendship, family but the gift I want to share here is one of an understanding heart. My two sisters were born in spring. I was born in December. Between birthday and Christmas I received many nice winter things but longed for the variety of spring and summer things like my sisters got. As a teenager I had mentioned this several times to friends and family. My dear Grandma May heard and remembered this. My very next birthday I received a beautiful striped beach towel! After all these years it is a bit tattered but is still one of my most treasured gifts.

The “best gift” that comes to mind is when my now-husband gave me a plane ticket to visit with his parents – it was his dad’s 60th birthday party, and I was the first girl he’d “brought home” to meet his parents. *blush*

One of the best gifts I have received was a set of coasters with my daughter’s handprint on them. They were actually intended for her “father” for Father’s Day, but since he isn’t in her life she gave them to me. They were so beautiful with her little bitty hands and she painted them different colors. Her teacher even put them on cute patterned paper and modge-podged them to the bathroom tiles to be used as coasters.
I took mine and framed them in small, square frames and put some black and white patterned paper as the background. They look great in my room, and they are a constant reminder of how much I love my daughter. Even though she wasn’t planned, she is truly the best thing that has happened to me. I have done everything in my power to give her a great life, and i hope someday she realizes how blessed I feel to have her as my daughter.

Without a doubt the best gift I ever received was the gift of my daughter, Mia.
My husband and I had been together for 19 years before we were blessed with her through adoption when she was just 4 days old.
Not a day goes by when I do not think of her birthmom and all she did for us. She had a lot of choices and put herself aside when deciding what was best for her baby, now my daughter and the love of my life.
A truly selfless and lifelong gift!

What yummy K and Co goodies! Best gift? My hubby usually does pretty good with this. Last year he got me a laptop so I can work and play while I’m running the kids around each night to their activities.
I’m happy to have had my one little ole’ project in your book as well 🙂

The best gift I ever received was from my husband. Our 10 year anniversary was approaching and he surprised me by planning and organizing a trip to Maui. He arranged childcare, lined up every detail, and even tricked me into thinking we were going camping instead! What a guy!! Thanks for the giveaway!

Honestly, at this point in time, I would have to say the best gifts I’ve ever received were the scrapbooks and 12×12 framed pages that one of my best friends has made of me and my husband.

My favorite gift was my son, Matt. He was born two days before my birthday in 1983. I got to take him home on my birthday. He was a delightful baby, always smiling and laughing! Now, at age 26 and married, he is still a delight.
Thanks for the chance to win!

My best gift was the baby clothes that my hubby bought me for our first born on the Valentines Day a month BEFORE she was born– I can just imagine him wandering around trying to pick something out (that I’d like too) for a person that hadn’t even been born. My husband is NOT a shopper so I just loved that gift– and he thoughtfulness of it.

When my kids pick me ‘flowers’ (more like weeds), when I catch my youngest child (1.5 years old) looking at me with the biggest, loving smile, when my husband (who is not romantic) tells me out of the blue that I’m a wonderful mother and wife, when my neighbour leaves a basket of fresh veggies from her garden at my door………….these are all priceless!

I think my favorite gift I’ve ever received was for my 21st birthday. I love jewelry & gems, and have been collecting pieces for quite awhile. A friend of mine went on a gem hunt to collect garnets, and had a few of the best stones cut & faceted. He gave me one of them for my birthday, and that was one of the most thoughtful and special gifts I’ve been given to date. Thanks for the chance to win! 🙂

Wow, what a prize to win!
The best gift I ever got was a jewelery box my dad made me for my 16th birthday. He carved a unicorn and the letter T on the top with and carved a frame around it. Inside I put green velvet (my favorite colour still) and the music box played ‘bring in the clowns’, one of my moms favorite songs. I loved it so much. I love that he made it from scratch. Unfortunately I lost it in a fire, but I can picture it perfectly and it’s still in my heart.
Thanks for the chance to win.

The best gift I’ve received was when my husband and I were newly married and very poor. For Valentine’s Day, we decided to only spend $20 on each other. He came up with a variety of well-thought out gifts that happened to be great bargains- I got a decorative clock, a necklace and some macaroni and cheese. It was simple and each one was a suprise.

I am going to be cheesy and say the best gifts ever are my daughters! I love them to pieces and they just turned 2 years and 1 year old. My baby was a real gift (a really big surprise that is) and I count my blessings every day.
If I count things as gifts and not people I would have to say my best gift would be my brand new Canon Rebel XS that my husband gave me as an early birthday and Mothers Day gift. I love it!

oooh, gosh…this would be the best gift ever!
But, if we are talking in the past then the best gift ever was a pair of diamond and sapphire earrings that I would on my wedding day. My mom gave them to me to wear on my wedding day as my “something blue” and three previous generations of family brides before had worn them on their wedding day.

I’ve received so many beautiful gifts over the years, it’s hard to choose. The one that comes to mind is a beautiful china tea set my mom handpainted for me and gave to me when my son was born. I gave up all caffeine during my pregnancy and was looking forward to my morning tea again. She wrote inside the bottom of the teapot, ” We love you, Mom and Dad.”

Best gift I ever got was a robe my mother made me around 7 years ago for Christmas. She was going to make me a pink one but ran out of material. She ran to Joanns for more, but didn’t find pink so she found a different pattern. She made it that very night. The next morning I opened the gift and pulled out the robe – the pattern was green with tree bulb decorations. I look like a huge walking christmas tree, but I love it and it’s super warm. BTW, my ma didn’t realize it till I tried it on that it was christmas material! She was a little disappointed, but we laughed about it and I love it.

The obvious answer is my children, of course. They are beautiful angels from God.
Thinking on a more material gift option, I would say my best gift was my cricut machine. I had been wanting one for many years, and just couldn’t come to spend that money on myself, but my husband kindly surprised me with one for Christmas. It was truly unexpected and really should not have been splurged on, but it meant a lot to me that he did it.
I love receiving artwork and “notes” from my girls {ages 5 and 2} but I’m really looking forward to receiving crafted gifts from them when they are older. I’m sure they will be incredible!

Best gift? Hmmmm–my SON! Next to him, as a more normal “gift” response, it would be the hours that my husband has invested and is still investing in making a great studio space for me. He’s the best!

Oh my, this is a really good question and there have been so many wonderful answers already. I have received numerous fabulous gifts of material things over the years and my favorite being a gorgeous diamond heart necklace from my hubby. But by far the best gift ever that comes to my mind today is my grandchildren and the precious time spent with them. They are each such a wonderful joy in their own unique way. Having learned with children first, the grandchildren grow up oh so fast and I cherish each and every moment I have with them.

The best gift I ever received was probably the doll house my dad made me when I was about 5. He had recently lost his job & my mom was trying to finish school and work part time…. so money was tight – especially with a house full of kids. He made the house out of plywood and used scraps of carpet & wallpaper left over from building our real house… and I thought it was the best thing ever!

My favorite gift was a new wedding ring from my husband ~ not because it was a nice piece of jewely but because it was a complete surprise to me. The fact that he took the time to plan everything and make it such a special day was a wonderful and amazing gift.

I have had so many presents over the years that I have loved and cherished but one special gift stands out in my mind because it marked an important time in my life. When I turned 13 my aunt sent me a silky nightgown. Of course it was still for a young girl but I felt so grownup in that nightgown compared to my old cotton night dresses that my mom would sew for me. It would be a gift that I would never forget.

The best gift I have ever been given…well let me first start by saying the best gifts in life are my husband, my 3 wonderful children and my loving family! But with that being said – the best gift that my dear husband has given me is he surprised me with a beautiful diamond ring on my 40th birthday because he always felt that my engagement ring was nothing special because we could not afford much back then. I was so surprised and will cherish it forever!!

The best gift that I have ever received is the gift of a loving husband and four wonderful kids. You may be asking yourself, “what in the world is this crazy lady thinking?” But after two failed marriages to men who ended up being “not all that”, I truly treasure a loving/faithful/honest husband and four wonderful children that truly get along better than any “natural or blood siblings” ever do! Call me simple, but to me, those “gifts” are truly immeasurable.

The best gift I have ever received has to be the one that my husband gave me for our 15th wedding anniversary. When we got married we only had enough money to buy some of our wedding pictures. I had always wanted to buy all of them, but we just couldn’t do it. Well, zoom ahead 15 years and my dear hubby found our photographer through lots of digging. He managed somehow to keep our proofs, too! My hubby bought all the proofs and then put them in a beautiful album for me. He did all this without me knowing a thing!!! He’s the best. He also made a Power Point photo story for my 40th birthday, but that’s another story. Thanks for the chance to win a great prize pack.

I think the best present I have received is my lucky charm care bear…and the story goes…the first year my boyfriend (husband now) gave me the care bear. We had only been dating for about six months and I had told him many months before that I never got a care bear when they first came out and I always wanted the “lucky charm” bear cause my nickname growing up was lucky. So you can imagine when I opened the box to see that bear I had so longed for when I was little! I was so excited that I got this cute little bear finally and second that he had remembered!!

The best gift that I’ve ever received was from my father. My Grandmother was 100% Irish and her whole life she dreamed of taking a trip to Ireland, but never would spend the money on herself to do it. After she passed away, my father spent the money from her estate on taking me and my two sisters on the trip of a lifetime to Ireland in honor of my Grandmother. I will never forget how special that was.

My husband usually just ask me what I want and we go together to get is. When I least expect it he buys me something. For our 20th wedding anniversary he surprised me with a diamond necklace. I loved it.
I live in a town that does not have a stamp store. All we have is Michaels and Hobby Lobby. My best gift was one year on my birthday he drove me to Longview, TX, 35 miles from our town. He took me to a stamp store and gave me 300 dollars to spend. It was the first stamp store I had ever been to. I loved it.

Two gifts stand out in my memory as my favorites. One was an old red and white quilt that my mom gave me that I LOVE. The other was a box of goodies from my two friends a couple of years ago. The goodies were awesome, but not as awesome as the box alone. My friend Nichole covered a regular box with scrapbook paper and ton of awesome embellishments. It is so cute and makes me happy just to look at it.

What a neat prize to win….thank you for the opportunity. I would have to choose one of my favorite gifts was the year my husband, kids, parents and brother got me the new Alabama CD with 41 hits and tickets to see them perform at Silver Springs. This was literally a gift that continues to give as I still listen to the CD often and my husband went with me to the concert. We have been married for 26 years and from 1984 until they quit touring my husband has taken me to one if not two concerts a year. So I appreciate that my family has “tolerated” my being a fan for so long.

The best gift I ever received was on a Friday afternoon in March, 1989. My husband and I had been waiting for over two years to receive a phone call from the adoption agency. Finally we received the call telling us that we were going to be the parents of a five-month old baby. At that moment, our lives changed forever. The long wait was over. A few days later, our arms reached out to a beautiful brown-eyed little girl who we named Jennifer. Now our little girl is 20 and she remains the best gift I ever received.

I have to pick just one? I’ve been so blessed over the years – with a beautiful, smart, independent, strong daughter who, at age 37, gave all of us the gift of a beautiful, smart, independent, strong and musical (from his Dad!) little boy. Along life’s way, I met a very generous, caring man who has given me the gift of love and the ability to cross so many things off my bucket list and (after 20 years of being together) the most stunning diamond ring I have ever seen “just because [he] loved [me]”. Every member of my family is a gift – past, present, and future.

One, I will remember most, is a surprise trip my BFF organized. My birthday was on a Friday and she told me that I should prepare for a short trip on Saturday till Sunday. She and her boyfriend took me to another city to visit a friend of us (we hadn’t met him for over a year then) and explore the city. Happy times off with good friends, what else could you wish for? I always like her presents best and look forward to the next birthday surprise 🙂

I have a couple of favorite ‘things’ that I remember getting when I was younger that just totally made my day….
1) a little white jewelry box (the one with the ballerina that spun when the music played) and it was so perfectly pretty and I LOVED it (It was an early gift that I got to open on Christmas eve from my favorite aunt).
2) the other is a red radio called “toot-a-loop” I think I was in 3rd or 4th grade when I got it. I dug that thing sooo much! I even looked it up on Ebay recently and they’re there!! 🙂
Fun to reminisce but I wouldn’t give up my current best gifts of all time: my family – hubby, kids and of course all the family and friends that are dear to my heart! 🙂
Now please pick my name…I LOVE the K & CO lines! They are some of my absolute faves!

My most memorable gift I think came 41 years ago when our dd was born. I was 18 at the time, and when you gave birth, you spent 3-4 days in the hospital. The day before I came home, the neighbor across the street (who I barely knew) came over and made dh completely clean the house and wash all his dirty dishes from when I was gone. Then the day dd and I came home, she brought over a complete turkey dinner, fully cooked, with all the trimmings and came back later and put all the left-overs away and took the dirty dishes home with her. I’ve never forgotten her generous gift to a young, new mother.

My favorite gift isn’t really a “thing” but I treasure it so much. It’s my sister bringing the most amazing children in to my life. I can’t really explain it other than I don’t have kids so for that reason it’s even more important to me. She’s expecting baby #3 and I truly am thankful for this “gift” in my life.
K&Co…is one of my FAV vendors and that would also be a fantastic gift!!

The best gift I ever got wasn’t super expensive or fancy, but it was in the thought and love behind it that made it special! My husband got me a Crop-a-dile Big Bite last spring. I was watching QVC (they were having a scrapbooking special) and I saw this fabulous new tool that I wanted soo bad, but we were cutting back on our spending at the time and I just couldn’t justify buying it so I changed the channel in a frump. Unknown to me my DH had seen how much I wanted it and snuck away to the computer and ordered it. He never said a word to me, he just waited until it was delivered to the front door! I sure love him!

Best gift I’ve ever received was a set of Fiskars scissors from my DH. At the time I don’t think he even realized that they’re from a Finnish company (I’m half Finn), but I love their scissors and the set included a small snippet pair that I CONSTANTLY use for my needlepoint. I prefer gifts when you can tell the person put some thought into the person over those that may be more expensive but less personal. This one was DA BOMB!

My best gift…wow, that’s hard…I will have to say that some of my best gifts are friendships. I scrap with the best bunch of ladies and would not be able to get through the ups and downs without them. So yes, I consider them gifts!! Thank you

My best gift I received is a larger flat screen monitor. I didn’t replace my older smaller one, but it’s connect to the computer along side of the smaller monitor. Now my desktop is bigger and I can work on two things at one, it’s perfect for Photoshop or work on one screen and watch a movie on the other….heheheehe. I love it.

I had wanted a digital camera for a long time, and last year I decided to purchase one with a portion of the “stimulus check” that we received from the government. I did research and I bought the camera that had high ratings but was still in my price range, etc.
Not 6 months later, I walked into my 15-year-old son’s bedroom, and there was my new camera on the floor, smashed. I burst into tears, knowing full-well that I was not going to be able to afford another camera.
My husband went out to do errands that morning, and when he returned, he handed me a bag from Target. I opened it up and found a brand new camera. I burst into tears yet again, knowing that he couldn’t afford it either, but that he knew how much that camera meant to me. I don’t know what he went without that week, but I do know that I have one of the sweetest, most generous husbands in the entire world. :o) That was the best gift I ever received, because it wasn’t expected and it meant so very much to me.

The best gift ever….Wed. April 15th was my birthday and my hubby took the day off to put together furniture for my scrapbook room. He spent the entire day putting together all of the organizational cabinets and cubes. It is awesome! He totally surprised me!

The best gift ever…when I got my Masters Degree in education my husband surprised me with a trip to Minneapolis. I had no idea where we were going until we got our plane tickets at the airport. We went to the Mall of America where he took the kids to the the theme park and I got to explore the mall…of course I spent a great deal of time in the huge Archivers store! We also visited several art museums. I think the surprise element and thoughtfulness of planning is what made it the best!

Of course my best gifts have been my children and then grandchildren. As far as material objects go, I got a kindle, and since I love to read, it is the best gift imaginable. I use it everyday and it is the most convenient thing I own.

Hmmmm—my husband totally surprised me with diamond earrings a few years ago at Christmas—it wasn’t just the wonderful gift, but the surprise that made it so fun—and he packaged them in a fun way where I had NO idea they were coming—very sweet and romantic!

the best gift I ever received was when my husband gave me my engagement ring for my birthday. he actually pulled it out of his sock after taking me to dinner!!! 🙂 we still laugh to this day that he carried it around in his sock throughout the entire dinner until he had the nerve up to give it to me!!! it’s been 23 years now, and I still have that same lovely ring!!!!

What an awesome prize pack!!! Thanks for being so generous!!!! I’d have to say my favorite gift was my blue and white diamond ring because it was on my wishlist and my husband actually listened to me. The SLR has been on there for 14yrs. but no luck. lol.

The best gift I have ever received would be my 3 kids! After that it would have to be either the diamond earrings from my DH on our first anniversary or the surprise gift of a new video camera he and the kids gave me one Christmas!

I hope this doesn’t sound corny, but my best gifts ever are my husband, my daughter and her family. Without them I would be lost. K & Co. is one of my most favorite companies and I would love to win this. What a generous opportunity. Thank you so much.

My best gift would be the video my daughter did of my parents recalling their pasts, their families and events in their lives. It included photos of many of our ancestors as well. She preserved my parents, and now when I look at the video, it is like having a visit with them. (They are both gone now.) It is 6 hours long… and a treasure! I would have said my family is my best gift, but we assume that everyone feels that way – so I chose my next best gift.

The best gift I every received was a healthy child. He has made each and every day since his birth filled with love, exploration, and laughter. Now, he is old enough to tell me the sweetest things. He also draws me pictures at school, which I LOVE.

My best gift so far was the birth of my only grandchild–a boy–this past winter. He is a miracle baby that took about 5 years, lots and lots of tears, love, patience, endurance, medical appts, awesome drs and so many people working together. Seeing the love my dd has for this child just melts my heart. I am so proud of her and her dh as they begin the parenting process. They are going to be great–he is one well loved child.
Thanks for the chance to win this awesome prize.

A 15-drawer Craftsman cart on wheels for storing my craft tools. I think this is my favorite gift because it was a “just because” gift from my husband–I had not even requested it. He doesn’t necessarily understand my enthusiasm (obsession?) for crafts, but he supports it because he knows how much fun I get out of it.

I’m so excited about the upcoming event.
The most meaningful gift I’ve ever received was a handmade birthday card from my husband.
He’d bought me a new table for my craft room & while he was in there assembling it, he thought he’d try to make me a card too.
It was totally unexpected & amazed me 🙂

The two best gifts are my sons of course, lol!! As for material things, it would have to be a ring my husband gave me for Hanukkah with our sons’ birthstones in it. I’ll cherish it forever.

The best gift I received so far is a card my then 5 year old grandson made at school. It was a card in the shape of a shell with lots of glitter on it. Inside it held his love and a tiny little pearl he glued (with more glitter). Can one ever have too much glitter?? Never!!

Hmmm…I have loved each and every gift I have received throughout my life. But to pick one, I would say it was the plane ticket to the US 5 years ago. It was a gift from my mom for my 26th birthday. Well I came to the US and never returned (except to visit my family). I don’t think my mom now thinks that was the best gift she had given me 😉

The best gift I ever recieved was my engagement ring on Christmas eve. The ring box was hidden in a giant (and I mean giant box) filled with paper. I was not expecting it at all and NEVER would have guess there was a ring box inside the other box. The box was the exact size of a gift I had requested so obviously that is what I thought it was. Wow!!
Thanks for the chance to win.

The best gift that I have gotten, was on my wedding day. My husband gave me a keychain with one key one it. He had closed on a new constructon two weeks before our wedding. It said To my Wife, Welcome home. Of course the home, but I love the thought of the key and chain.
I still carry it today–10 years later.
He also buys a lot of my scrapbooking tools. Thank you.

The best Mothers day present I ever got was my daughter. She was born on Mother’s day and has given me much joy and happiness ever since. 14 years ago, on Mothers day, she informed my I was to become a Grandmother. She was certainly a gift that keeps on giving.

We have 6 children, and they planned, for a year, to send my husband and myself to Hawaii–for no special occasion! They presented us with a “Parents of the Year” award and the trip (after several clues throughout the house) along with spending money and hotel accomodations. We were shocked (I was crying! 🙂 and we had the most memorable trip!! The real treasure is our children, though!

My best gift was an early Valentine’s gift 2 years ago. My son! He was born unexpectedly early on Feb 13, but his due date wasn’t until March 17. I remember saying, I’m not ready to be a mom yet (that day), but he had other plans! He brings me so much joy and laughter each day!!! On his birthday this year, I found out that we’re expecting our second! What a great day!!! Thanks for the great giveaway!!

I have received so many wonderful gifts after being married for 36 years and having five (grown) children, but my favorite has to be my SInger Sewing Machine which I received from my DH on our second Christmas together. It has been used quite a bit over the years, and still works like it was new.
Thanks for the great candy!

I too have received many very special gifts, but the best by far was the card I received for my very first Mother’s Day. My DH and my nearly-one-year-old hand-made a card together to give me on my special day. Needless to say it brought me to tears (even writing this does!) and I have treasured it ever since! Nothing is more special than the gift of heartfelt love!!!

My husband is not much of a gift giver in the general sense and I am okay with that, but the little things mean so much more, like putting the coffee on every morning, even though he doesn’t drink it, I’m so much more social after that first cuppa, letting me sleep in on the weekends when he knows i’m tired and getting the kids sorted, ironing the black pants that I love but hate to iron, and he puts that crease down the front oh, so good. Thanks for the great giveaway.

Of course my best gift is my beautiful, healthy children–but I think most of us would say that. I guess besides that, the best gift I received was my Pazzles cutting machine–it was my BD, Christmas and I had made lifetime membership to weight watchers–all in the same month! My hubby new it was one of those “dream” gifts–one I thought was way too pricey–and it’s been something that I’ve used alot, learned alot and it keeps me creating!

My husband surprised me with a new much larger diamond for my 30th birthday a few years back and then took me into the jewelry store to pick out a new setting for it and a new matching one for him. It was like getting married all over again accept then we could finally afford the style’s we loved. So romantic!

It’s so hard; I’ve received so many wonderful gifts. But the most memorable best gift was a doll I got when I was five (I think) years old. My older sister’s birthday was a month before mine and she received a doll almost like mine. Imagine my surprise whe, a month later, I opened my present and it was the doll that I wanted!!! I still have that doll (almost 47 years later) and still remember the feeling I had when I first hugged my new doll. The best part, my Mother got the perfect snapshot of that first hug!!! Oh, I’m going to have to get a copy of it and scrapbook that picture!!!
Blessings,

My husband is always giving me beautiful gifts, whether it be something he has bought in a sale when the $’s are tight or something he has saved hard for…..this year gave me a gift from the heart….I have always wanted a eternity ring, but DH told me that he didn’t marry me for eternity, only until ‘ death do us part’ and I thought I would never get one….but this year, after all the gifts were opened he handed me a box and in it was…yes…an eternity ring and with it the most beautiful letter…part of which read…’I am giving you this ring because I am eternally grateful for you loving me!’ YES, I cried….I love the ring but the letter is priceless and touched my heart deeply – so I win in all departments….a beautiful eternity ring, a heart touching letter and the love of a good man!!!! It doesn’t get much better than this – that is, unless of course I would win one of these amazing packs – I could use it to scrapbook the letter, along with many other priceless memories – thank you for the opportunity!!

The best gift I have been given, is the gift of life. In Dec. of 2008, Docs. hospitalized me with pneumonia, (but that’s not what it was). I was in the hospital for 6 days with antibiotics, sent home with 10 days of antibiotics and was getting worse instead of better. I was told give it time, things will clear up and was given oxygen to have at home. We have a daughter and son-in-law (they’re the best), that live in south Texas and wanted us to come for Christmas. The oxygen and nebulizer came along. By the time we left there on the 28th, I could not bathe or dress myself. (We live in Iowa). The morning of the 29th we were south of Council Bluffs, Iowa and stopped at a rest area, so my husband could sleep a couple of hours before getting home. I let him sleep 45 minutes and then made him calll for an ambulance. By this time, I had the oxygen up to 4 L and wasn’t able to breathe. When the ambulance came, the driver asked my husband what hospital to go to, my husband said whatever you think is best, as we didn’t know the town or area. My husband said that when the ambulance reached 90 miles per hour, he knew things were’t going well. That’s when I clocked out and had to be re-booted. A vent tube was inserted and CPR started. Arriving at the hospital, a pulmonary Dr. was assigned to my case and within 5 minutes, he knew what was wrong with me and basically saved my life. I did not have pneumonia, I have aspergillus. It is a fungus that grows in the lungs. By taking all the antibiotics, that’s what made me worse instead of better. The aspergillus that I have is caused by allergies, and now I have to undergo shots, that are $500 a piece. I’m very thankful for my second chance of life. Thank you for letting me share this with you.

The best gift I ever received (aside from my children) would probably have to be my sewing machine. My husband gave it to me for Christmas. He knows me sooo well. Better to spend a lot on my sewing machines than on expensive jewelry! 🙂
He bought me sewing machines two years in a row. The first was a regular electric sewing machine with all the bells and whistles, and a serger machine the next year.
I love my sewing machine – not only can I sew clothes and things for the children, but also use it in my paper crafts!

Oh Boy, the best gift I have ever received was a poem that my husband wrote me for my birthday. It was a total surprise (he’s not at all the poem writing type). It was written on a small piece of paper that I hang by the side of my computer at work, so I can see it everyday. I guess one of these days I should frame or scrap it. Jennifer S

The best gift I ever received was a beautiful set of Nikko “Blue Peony”. I just turned 30 and was envisioning my life as a 1970’s Cosmopolitan working woman. The dishes were a luxury I definitely could not afford.
That Christmas, 1979, my wonderful mother presented me with a service for eight and all the extra serving pieces. I have tears in my eyes as I type…remembering how I was moved beyond words.
Over these years I have set many beautiful tables celebrating family and friends. My mother has been gone for 10 years, but the memory of that Christmas and her generous gift remains.

As we get older, I realize the most precious gift I’ve ever received is truly the gift of love. To know you are truly loved in this life, reaches far beyond all the material things that we think we cannot live without. That being said, I’m beyond thrilled with my craft products and a huge joy each time is attending CKC Convention, which was my gift this past weekend!

Ok, it may not sound very sentimental, but the best present I ever received was a wine fridge for cellaring my wine, which I got from my husband (then fiance). It was completely his idea and I had no clue. I loved being surprised and I loved how he thought of the idea on his own with no prompting from me. 🙂

The best gift I ever recieved? That is so hard because I have had so many blessings and wonderful gifts. My best gift was from heaven above- my children. My best gift ever was given to me by my brother. My mother had been very sick and my fur baby, a pomerian, Amber of 5 years also became sick and died. My brother used his work bonus to buy me a new puppy. My mother’s illness was treated and she is much better, and I have a loving fur ball named Josette (which means soft hair) that makes me happy every day. She wakes me in the morning with kisses and greets me when I’m home with jumps of joy, and while I’m away sit with mom on the computer or sleeps in the recliner with her. Always taking care of both of us. Mary – Imagine*Mary

My favorite gift was a Pink Dyson for Christmas! I know a vacuum cleaner isn’t the most exciting present, but it’s pink and so pretty and it made me happy! My dh went way out of his way to find one for me and that effort made it even more special.

I would say that the best gift I received was having my two children. They bring so much joy to my heart and they are truly a gift from above. My children are the best gift from heaven that will last forever.

The best gift ever?… DH’s heart. Sorry, I know it’s corny but it’s true. He completes me and the fact that he loves me just as much is the most wonderful thing I could ever wish for. 🙂
